Ibanez have find a very god way to nurse the Brand with these annual reissues, Genious!!

And i know that the handcrafted quality back then when the originals were built is something to spread around these days when everything is built in steril NC machine and robot lines!

Keep up the good work Ibanez!!

Would be nice to A B one of those AR5000RE:s with my AR500 even if they are not brothers but just cousines! But just to see if there is that nice soul and wibe that is built in the vintage AR:s.

I think the main differences you would notice is the better consistencey between examples. Back in the late 70's when I bought a new guitar, the salesman would take me to the basement of 8th street Music in Philly and let me have at all their inventory. I would spend all day there to find the "perfect" guitar. Now when I try guitars at GC, the only differences in playability seem to be setup, which can be modified easily.

Bobzilla did a comparo between 5000's and seemed impressed. He did like the neck of his original better, though that may be due to his more intimate relationship with the original.
