After six months of no Destroyers, another one popped up and true to the latest sell prices, it is over $1,000 in the first 8 hours. Definately an overseas bidder involved in this one. Harry, is it you?
Let's see how high this one goes.

How about providing an ICW-friendly link to the auction?

It sucks even more to lose. I lost this one in the last 10 seconds. I do have a question, though. That may be an "original Ibanez case" but I don't think that's the case that came with the Destroyer. I had a Korina Destroyer in the late 70s (yes, yes, I know I'm an idiot for getting rid of it) and the guitar neck ran parallel to the long side of the case, the case compartment was underneath the neck, and the case lining was the bright yellow/gold/orange color. Can anyone confirm or deny? Thanks.

Case is original. I have seen them also with blue-lined cases.

Forgive my ignorance but....does a model's case change from year to year? For instance, is a 76 Destroyer's case different than a 77 Destroyer's case? How can I tell which case belongs to which model year? Is it possible for cases to change in midyear production? Can there be multiple case layouts within a single year's run? Does it even matter to "collectors"? Thanks.

Originality of any case is subject to what was sold with the guitar at the time of purchase. Customers in our store would often opt for a cheaper case than the one offered by the manufacturer. Or a gig bag, or no case at all!

And, music stores are notorious for not having the correct case for a given guitar. My RS1400 came with a hardshell case imprinted with a large "A". I don''t think it was even an Ibanez case, but that's what the store gave me with the guitar.
