I would think AR100, but the hardware is gold and it's a burled top. (I don't have access to my catalog links at the moment.) Serial says it was made in 1982. It looks primo from the pics I've seen. What's the value?

Got the catalog. It's a 1982 AR105AV. So, then, current value?

Chucke99:

It's an AR105AV, burl mahogany top, mahogany body. Very cool guitars.

They used to go around the $600.00 mark. But I wouldn't doubt that they've appreciated over the last 3-6 months (like all the other good Ibanez).

Thanks John. I found a post from a few months ago where one sold for $665 with a modified coil tap, so maybe this one is worth north of that. The guy wants $600 and I'm trying to get him on the phone now. This would be a keeper, not a flip, I think, because it looks so dang purty.

Chuck~ AR105's are indeed very cool guitars. Since they are all mahogany (solid body and carved burl mahogany top), they can be a bit heavy, but man, the tone is other-worldly.

The asking price is more than fair if it is in good condition. I've seen them sell for about 30% higher than the one you are checking out.

I've got one of these babies...awesome PAF tone!

If it is 8.0 or better condition and you want it for play...write the check now '99.
