Hey guys, is this too much money? The pickups are changed, but I have a matched serial set of gold super 80 pickups. It's also been refretted, has a HUGE gash, and doesn't have the original case.

I bought one like it in almost mint condition with the original pups for $750 US about 10 months ago, if that's any guide.

Refret, non original pups, edge bash on binding....Pricy at 1/2 of the asking price IMHO....

I don't think a quality refret should detract from the price. If it is done well.

That ding, the back of the neck, replaced pups and no pick guard..... not so good.

Looks like a player to me. But you do have the right pups for it... Just seems like a lot of money.

My girlfriend is passing thru Germany in a few days.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Could avoid ship costs to USA if she throws it on the plane. Where's a flight case when you need one. Photos are distant though and I can't read german.

Isn't that some sort of record for one of these? Seen quite a few of these the past 2 years, but can't remember one ever going that high...not even close.

the price is always relative. In this case the item is close to where I live. So no transport fees, no exchange fees and no 20 % import tax. The €/USD exchange rate makes european items look quite expensive at the moment. But if you have Euros.......this is not too bad.
Anyway I will post a few pictures after I have the git in may hands.

That's £1,625 to us Brits. Common fact that some particular vintage Ibanez models are fast becoming a sound and 'playable' investment.
