I know I've seen another one at least similar to this, with the "Baby Vine." (maybe in someone's family picture), but what exactly is it? Looks like a cross between a Les Paul, a C.A. & a freaking JEM Jr. If my chemically induced memory serves me correct (and it rarely does), those pickups remind me of what a Super 80 looked like under the "Butterfly Covers." It's a little dull & dusty, but decent, What's this thing gonna go for?

Hi DaveHowardcustom

What is offered here is the model number 2660BK. It has been in production from 1975 until 1978, as far as I know.
The pickups are Super 70´s with "open coil casings", as I like to call them. These are metal casings with 2 oblong openings, which reveal the bobbins.
These guitars are pretty rare and popular amongst Ibanez collectors. I´d say that the one in the link above is from around 1976/1977 and in original condition. Like you said: it needs a little cleaning and polishing, but I think it is a "hidden beauty".
Value? I think that a price between 500 and 600 US dollars is justified.

Kind greetz,
Harry

Thanks, friend!

Never know what you're gonna stumble into when you wake up at 3 am to Peeeeee! Always have a "Pop Tart," a glass of milk, & check mail, my E Bay searches & ICW. I'm getting weird, aren't I, ha ha
