Hi to all Ibanez experts and friends,

I'm from germany and new here. Finally I made it into the ICW forum :-). I have collected some Ibanez guitars through the last years. In my collection is a strange Ibanez Studio. Here you can see it on my website: http://www.backyardmusic.de/main.php?cat=3&artid=4 99. There is only one other place where I also have seen this guitar: "The untold Story" at page 93. There it is presented as a prototype wich should be the flagship of the Studio series but never made it into production. Though my Studio has a serial number - according to that it was made in May 1980. Does anybody know more about this guitar? How many of these prototypes has been made? I would be very grateful for some hints. Thanks!

Greets

Hi Fox,

many thanks for your quick response. I have seen the ST 370 and ST 390 before. Mine is quite near to the ST 390. But there are some differences: The neck is 5ply. The trussrod cover is made of brass with a wooden top (not only brass). And the fretboard has a Limited Edition inlay at the 24th fret. So maybe a limited edition of the ST 390????

Olli,

Is that the exact guitar from pg. 93?

Cheers,

John
