I neeeeeeeeeed those dang tuners. I've been trying so long now to obtain them. I'm gonna have to buy an axe with them just to swap 'em out and put 'em on the Scruggster.

I'd say it's a late '75/early '76. Definitely not a '74.

Too bad about the extra switch. What's a resonator?

Resonator - built-in reverb or tremolo circuit or other effect ????

That Type 1 version of the 2619 is the first one I've seen in the UK for over 20 years.

Olli:

Looks like you made out! All original with a couple of dings. Original case and tailpiece cover, too! Can't see much that would keep this baby from getting more $.

Hi Johns,

thanks! I might be misunderstood. It's the Artists (the subject of this thread) that I bought. I didn't buy the Iceman - that one was only sold within the USA. I live in germany. But yes: I also think the Iceman could have been sold for much more.

I couldn't buy this one 'cuz I just bought a buncha other ones. Otherwise, it would have went for a lot more, and I'd prob'ly have it, and I would have overpaid.(Again!)

Ibaneezer.

The guitar looks nice but does it still have the original script logo pickup covers?

There are some holes in the top of the body where extra switched etc have been put in place.

All-in-all, in my opinion, the type 1 2619's are the nicest of the range so well done. They are hard to find and many, like your one, have been messed about with.
