2619 or AR300??

I have one of each, but I find the 2619 more desireable due it's thinner body and ergo lighter weight. Definitely a 2619 Artist, this one.."higher" neck joint (notice the placement of front pickup), smooth heel, older style peghead "fleur-de-lis" inlay and Super80's. If I remember correctly, they didnt start producing AR300s til the early 80s, and the seller says its a '78. The AR300 is shown in the 1979 catalog, along with all the other "AR" numbers. The 1978 catalog still uses the 26.. numbering. More telling may be the headstock medallion shape. The one in question looks like the 2619. I'll give you a hint tho...for ~ one year there IS a skinny (and long) AR 300 (100 & 500 too) that pretty much matches the 2619
