It's sad to see the ol' broad on the bay. This one is a bit overpriced given her condition, but she's a great player.

Oops. I double posted this because I didn't know this thread was about the CA. You can give us insight: Is the pickguard original? What about the rest of it? At $999, it seems like a bargain.

I can send a bunch of pictures of what it looked like when I sold it to anyone that is interested, just shoot me an email.

IMO, its NOT worth $999. Obviously the scroll was repaired, but what's not mentioned (or pictured) in the auction is the finish checking that is present on the face and back of the guitar. There are also significant dings to the wood along the back edges.

The guard is an original CA guard, but not original to the guitar. I replaced the home-made one that was on it before I sold the guitar.

Don't get me wrong though, I think its nice for anyone that is looking for a CA as player. In fact, I have an offer on it myself.
