I emailed the seller asking if theres any damage to the neck joint. Turns out there is a crack in it, although he hasn't sent me any pictures yet. So, it may not be that easy of a fixer upper :-(

Too bad about that scratch by the pup selector switch. It's really noticeable, even from a distance. Whenever I see damage like that, I always wonder exactly how it happened. That's a weird place to have such a significant scratch like that. I don't care too much about dents and dings that aren't really visible while playing, but that scratch would bug me a bit. I see an ad on TV pretty frequently, it's for a liquid you touch up scratches in eyeglass lenses with. I've wondered if that stuff would work on scratches like this. Otherwise, it's nice to see this one. In general, a 2622 is an awesome axe, I miss mine and would like another some day. (I paid $750 for mine, not long ago. I guess those days are over.) I'd still like to see a black ar500 if anyone's got a photo.

"Ibanez Super 80 „Flying-Fingers“ Pickups - diese Tonabnehmer sind mit Keramik-Magneten bestückt."
Super 80 has ceramic magnet? Really?

Juha, it's true. Also IBZ-DiMarzio's are equipped with ceramic ones.

Emilio:

Looks like an AR500 to me. To bad about the poor quality photos. They will probably hurt the selling price more than the Sperzels!

Here's a picture of the neck crack. It looks like a finish crack to me, but what does everyone else think?

Chucke, my guess also is, that it is only the "normal finish crack", nothing more serious..

Probably just a finish crack, but you never know without actually holding the guitar in your hand. I'm a little concerned that he never mentioned it until someone asked.

Here's a picture of the front. Those are definitely scratches, but they don't look too deep and could probably be buffed out or otherwise repaired:

I was outbid at about $750 and it went for $1,018. Had I won the velvetune's from Europe I might have made a more serious bid for this. Whoever got this got a nice guitar (once it's put back together).

Yeah they did. I wasn't going to bid since its this close to Christmas, but the more I looked at the CW finish, the more it grew on me. I threw out a $1005 bid with 9 seconds left and thought I had it until I refreshed the page

I bid with 36 seconds left at (I think) $875 and the final bid was with three seconds left! Lotta snipers out there (including me) looking for the deal of the season.
