Hi!

Just found this site and joined. I've owned a 2355M for over 25 years and have some technical questions.

1. The output on the bridge pickup seems to be much lower than the neck pickup. I realize they have different tones, but I need to turn up my amp to play with the bridge pickup or turn the level down on the other. Also, the bridge pickup doesn't seem as bright as it should. Any suggestions.

2.In an effort to solve #1, I've considered putting new pickups in. Any thoughts? the guitar is in very good condition outside of the chrome pitting a bit on the tailpice and bridge. I don't want to devalue it. Finish is fantasic.

3. Any direction on parts or solutions to the metal wear above? I'd really like to restore it.

Thanks for the forum!

Roger that. They're almost touching the strings. I Took it apart last night, and I think I've decided to recreate the whole electronics harness with new pieces including pickups. I've got the old one out in it's entirety and will archive it in the event some purist or myself wants to change it out.

I'm going to get the tailpiece rechromed and swap out the bridge also. The bridge is rosewood with a tuneable metal bridge resting on top. Was this standard? I can't tell from the old photos.
