I have owned this guitar for approx 12 years. I was originally under the impression that this is a 1972 Artist. There are no serial numbers that I have found. I don't use this guitar, too many other hobbies and am considering selling it.
Any help with confirmation of model or applox value appreciated.

It is a 2613NT (natural), missing the bridge script pick up cover, ca 1973.

See the link.

Thanks, I had seen that photo and was pretty sure that was the one. The Artist label on the neck threw me off though.

Leisnerl:

That is an Artist. The very first incarnation of the Artist line, actually.

Because of it's being a bolt neck and somewhat overstated cosmetics, it doesn't get much respect and that's reflected in it's resale price. Also your's is missing the original bridge pickup.

They don't come up very often, but I'd guess between $300-$400. Probably more for a mint specimen.

Everything is original on this one just missing the pickup cover, the pickups have not been changed. Thanks for the info, I am a bit dissapointed though.
It still plays perfect has a great sound. In fact, its in great shape for a 30+ year old guitar. Somebody who can really appreciate this guitar needs it. I have always been reluctant to get aggressive cleaning it up (someone that knows what they are doing could really make this one sparkle. I never wanted to change anything, or do something wrong.

Hi Liesnerl!
Why disappointed? Quite a fine guitar, although the bridge pickup is definitely not original.. itīs maybe a DiMarzio..See, if it would be original for that guitar, withot the cover, it should have slot-head screws on the other coil, steel rivets on the other..and pickup bobbins (the "coils") would be black plastic, not creme. And it is clearly seen, that thereīs hex pole screws in both coils..
Although a very fine guitar..

That really is a lovely looking guitar...Has a lot of the look of the guitars that Ibanez were making for Roland for their guitar synths at the time...The mounting plate for the Volume & Tone pots etc.....
Overall though I think that is one hell of a great looking guitar....Would like one myself !

Thanks for all the info guys, I was under the impression this guitar was worth a great deal more, I will entertain offers but won't be selling at "bargain price".

Oh, BTW Johns, I think your information is right. I was told and my research has led me to believe this is the first artists made (well one of the firsts, you now what I mean).

Oh, darnit, (I keep forgetting things) thanks for the info guys, I am not a guitar efficianato, I found this guitar in a shop in Alb. 12 years ago and fell in love with it, I just like the looks and the sound OMG it's great. The neck was (and still is) straight and everything works fantastic so I bought it. I was unaware that the pickup had been changed.

Liesnerl, that is no big issue, if you are not a collector.. And believe me, there are quite a few guitars from that era, that have had picups changed..for one reason or another. Iīve been working on my new project "baby" that has had Super58īs replaced with some other pickups, and they have also had some damage..
