Hasy,
Where do you find all theese things. Nothin like that over here.

I notice that this one has block(?) inlays instead of the dots in the catalogue.

Hi Snowjays !

Maby you remember: "The Vintage Ibanez Identifikation Guide". All this informations are in our book and many more about the sixties decade of vintage ibanez. We got a xxxlarge delay of the relase for this book ! (The untold story has 2 years delay). So we pray to god, that the relase will happen by the end of this year, possible in oktober, but.........

Block or dots:
The first ibanez rhythm brands from 58/59 has block inlays, the star brand (Catalog) has dots.

The Tokyo Sound Factory built many brands for the japanese/overseas market, so when you look to the Guyatone or Kent Brands, looks sometimes like the same of Star/Ibanez Brand (Same parts and hardware)but diffrent shapes.

I found the other part of the EG1810, the EG1800 has dots in the fretboard too. (add the pictures later) But the catalog shows block inlays.
I think, there was a little confustion by the publishers, wrong picture, wrong brand....... This is funny, but if your check out for some info, you gonna be nutz :-(

Take a look to my new page:
