I recently looked at a mid-seventies 2355. Very nice instrument. I could not, however, find a serial number on it. Can some tell me where is the serial number on a 2355? Is it possible that they did not originally have one?

If it has a serial no. it would be on the back of the headstock. Prior to mid 1975 they did not have a no.
Age of the giutar depends on what type of name palte on the headstock (whether it is inlaid or a nailed on name plate)
