I believe Orval has (at least) one of these early Artists.

Hey John,
If that was what you tried asking I do can give you an answer.

This guitar is equivalent to my dearly beloved 2350 constructionwise. 3 piece bolt on neck on a body made of bits and pieces with an arched top. The control cavity is huge and rough and so are the other routings. Add to that that mine is a dead one if you know what I mean. Some guitars ring and sustain, some others don't. Mine doesn't.
I am not saying it is a bad guitar but do not get fooled by the artist looks or name. At least mine can not compete with the real ones. Now you made me think of it I'd say it resembles a bad 2350.
