Hi
I recently had what I now realise to be the massive good fortune to acquire a 2617. It's in pretty good nick with replacement DiMarzio PAF Classics. I can't see me playing my 2 Les Pauls that much any more...
My one question: does anybody know what the finish on these beauties is? I don't want to go messing up a nitro finish by putting it on a rubber-covered guitar stand. On the other hand, if it isn't nitro, I want it on display in pride of place in my living room.
Cheers
Daniel

I think it's a hard poly finish...not nitro. I've heard some stories of rubber stands leaving marks no matter what it's finished with. So use them with some caution.
I'm sure others here will chime in on the "facts".

Take Care.

Thanks Six
I guess I'll just take a really big photo of it to put up in the living room then keep the guitar nice and safe...
Cheers
Daniel
