Here's an ICW-friendly ebay URL. Please use it, if possible.

Hey John, I need some help. I posted a question in this forum last night around 11:30pm and when I went to check to see if there were any responses this morning the question had been removed. Did I do something wrong in my posting?

shouldn't it say "Custom Agent" on the pick guard? And... there's a black CA on Ebay now as well, no pick guard on that one.

Bobzilla:

DaveG probably knows most about CAs. In my experience, most CAs came with plain pickguards. Pickguards that say Custom Agent on them are rarer.

Wildlefty:

Your query about the Carlo Robelli strat was moved to the Miscellaneous section. That's the section for discussing any brands other than Ibanez. (We've made an exception in the case of Memphis, Ventura and Antoria guitars from the early 70s.)

I also changed the spelling on Carlos, in the title and body of message and deleted the new thread you started. That's because it's better to add messages to a related thread instead of starting new ones.

Hope this helps.

Thanx John. I doubt there's alot of extra CA pick guards laying around. I would have bought this black one without the pick guard if I thought I could come up with one.

'zilla CA's came with both pickguards that had the words "Ibanez Custom Agent" inscribed on them and without, and there were clear ones also. Sure the ones with the name are more desireable, I'm not sure if they are necessarily rare. I think the CA pickguards got tossed by the origial owners in preference to a traditional LP shaped guard-making all of them somewhat rare. There are plenty of homemade ones out there with various levels of craftmans ship. The rareest CA guard however is the clear one !

Thanx Dave. The black CA on ebay (missing pickguard) I've had in my hands, I may have bought it if I thought I could come up with any orig. pick guard but I passed on it, thinking it would be too tough to come up with one. What does the clear one look like? Same shape as the others, but clear?

John,

What is the difference between an ebay URL and an ICW friendly ebay URL when both get you to the same place?

If all I have is an ebay URL how do I make it an ICW friendly ebay URL? I don't understand the difference. What am I missing?

Arney,
It's simple - "ICW FRIENDLY" link to an eBay auction helps us stay on the air. So you see something you want the members here to look at on eBay COPY the item number, then PASTE it into the ADD EBAY window and hit ADD EBAY... You're doing the Board a favor. Capicse ???
