In my experience, most CAs came with plain pickguards. Sure the ones with the name are more desireable, I'm not sure if they are necessarily rare. I think the CA pickguards got tossed by the origial owners in preference to a traditional LP shaped guard-making all of them somewhat rare. There are plenty of homemade ones out there with various levels of craftmans ship. What does the clear one look like?
