Hi y'all...
Just dropping in to say hello (hallo, hullo, g'day...).
Despite my curriculum which would seem to warrant otherwise (agent for Nik Huber guitars in Italy and for Harry Häussel pickups worldwide) I actually love the 'ole japanese guitties.
I started out, by purchasing an old IC200 - which I still have - as it was my first iconic rock guitar, the one I used to see at a local store close to school (1978-79). At a certain point I had an IC210 in full working condition (as pictured on Ibanez Registry - that one used to be mine) - I could strangle myself for having sold it. I then laid my hands on some Bacchus replicas - Vees, 'splorers, a Rock Nielsen Futura, Strats - which IMHO are built incredibly well. Lately I got hold of an old black IC100 (looking for some spare parts), and just yesterday nailed a good condition Custom Agent - all the scrolls are still intact.
The pickups of this "oddbird" don't look original (black exposed coils - will be hunting for originals) but it is a very resonant guitar indeed.
The love of my life? I'm looking for the old artist Iceman guitar with all the proper appointments. I almost bid on the EMG-laden Artist that was for sale on fleabay then for some reason I got cold feet...stupid of me. I'd also love to own one of the old Bob Weir models and I'll definitely be shopping for a nice 2630 (335 copy).
Here you go. I'll be setting up a webpage of my stuff on Flickr one of these days (the site is very recommendable indeed!). Will let you know.
Off to the classified section now to look for some spares :-)

'Later!
Paul

Welcome to the ICW, Jinglejungle!

Sounds like you've got a bad case of Ibanez G.A.S. like most of us here.

And do they really say "Hi y'all" in Switzerland? OK then...hi y'all back at cha! :-)
