(I scanned this board, but couldn't find the info I was looking for.) So here's the question: I'm considering to buy a left handed Ibanez Les Paul 1976. Serial number: H762047. The original tuners are replaced with 'better' Ibanez tuners (whatever that might be). Is there anyone out here that can give me all the specifications on this type of Ibanez? Or a site where I can find everything I would ever want to know about this guitar? Tuners are upgrades indeed. Check Hasy and Harry's site www.ibanez-vintage-page.de for the catalogue specs. There are characteristics that some people would consider less-than-desirable, like using many layers of mahogany for the body, but as an owner of a similar guitar I can tell you a few things from experience: a good setup can easily make these guitars play better than a Gib$on. To me, the neck is way more comfortable. The stock Gotoh hardware is on par with U.S. made instruments. Considering the cost of Les Pauls nowadays, I'd definitely consider buying a '70s Ibanez.
