New frets, fretboard reconstruction and buffing by Master Luthier Mark T. Beasley. I have settled on an Antiquity Bridge Humbucker and just found a relic'd Phat Cat neck on Ebay for $51 shipped. These guitars are Fender spaced at the bridge, which makes the antiquity slightly off but the phat cat lines up perfectly. It looks really cool! Your right about the F(-LOYD ROSE/-ENDER) shaped bridge. The Dimarzio-look bridge pickup (12.4KOhm with black Allen polepieces) in my ST50 is slightly off too. I'm still thinking about it. That Phat Cat is one to remember. It looks better for a chrome hardware guitar than the P94. My silvery Allen polepieces neck pickup measures 8.5KOhm. I have no induction values (Henrys), but maybe these resistance values give you a clue what they could be. I think I could improve my guitar, but I don't know yet in what direction. I could make it original, but you weren't that enthusiastic about the V2's. So, actually you scared me off a bit. According to Freak I should put the master volume on 50%, so for my sensitive ears that will have to be 40%. Mike thinks I should go for the good old Super 58s. At the moment, the most disturbing thing for me is looking at unused holes in the pickup rings, so whatever I decide, I need new pickup rings: either 3 hole, or 2 hole rings. (4 holes: 3 on one side and one on the other doesn't look so good). Perhaps I should start experimenting with my Gibbies in the drawer. Ginger
