Artist 2710 Bridge?

Then this one popped up on ebay, which looks exactly like the bridge on my guitar. Is it possible that some of the Artist Customs left the factory with this type of bridge? I'm really just curious because if the bridge is not a replacement then my axe qualifies as "all original". Any help is greatly appreciated. The Artists used either the Harmonic-o-matic (#198) wide bridge or a gibralter. This bridge is what is typically on a LP clone, except that the posts are not like ANY I have ever seen on an Ibanez ! They look like the Koren Tune-o-matic Gibson knockoffs. I have never seen a thin post like that on an Vintage Ibanez, only Epiphone's. I also have this "thin post" ST bridge on my AS200. I figured it was not original, but I just wanted to be sure. Someday I would like to get a NOS bridge that is correct for the guitar, but they seem relatively hard to come by, and pricey when they do pop up. So, together with the ones JohnS just announced there are at least three different models bearing this configuration. It is from 1976, so the first ones. I have somewhat problems in trying to figure the biridge & tailpiece, from "shadows" on the very top it seems that it has been equipped with a narrow tune-o-matick type bridge and standard bar-type tailpiece.. But I would kindly ask for "second opinion".. I have several guitars that have this bridge on it, but non of them have the real thin posts-those are exactly like the ones on my Gibson SG's from the 70's. What looks weird to me is-even look at the picture above-the hole in the bridge looks WAY to big for those posts-looks like it would be so lose that it would rattle around.....I have seen impprt bridges with the smaller holes to accomodate that type of post, mostly Koren made (like epiphone)   Ibanezcollector Username: Ibanezcollector Registered: 11-2003 Posted on Friday, December 23, 2005 - 11:07 pm:    Dave, These bridges were used on several of the Greco LP'S. My 2675 had the real thin post. I had a heck of a time finding one that would fit. Orval posted something way back about using bushings or metal inserts from the Hardware store to make up for the difference so the standard or more commonly found ST bridges would fit. So maybe I have to hunt down a similar bridge like that on the above pictured LP copy... Plus a std bar tailpiece.. I believe that the very first 2617:s were not equipped with such luxury feature.. Also, the tailpiece was definitely bar-type, without the "cloud"..there are absolutely no screw holes as you can see. This didn't show up until very late in '77 and it was part of the switch to the Gibraltar I bridge. This is the general time for the introduction of the 2 piece cloud tailpiece. Had there been engraved fancy tailpiece, the "shadow" would be even on both sides of the studs..and a bit wider. Maybe I get that project finished in a week or two...
