The electronics pkg. that was in here was pretty close to an ar500 setup. Correct? And... I doubt that's what happened but... most likely, there's no good reason for leaving a guitar this way. Something must have been wrong with the guitar. The only thing it's missing is a bridge, tuners and if you want to get picky, the knobs. All in all, I would think this is a fantasic opportunity to get an MC400 for far below what one would usually sell for. And Bob, to answer your question about how a guitar could get in this condition. Sometimes, whether we like it or not, people resort to cannibalism to restore a guitar. The board and trisounds are missing. Does anyone have information about the thin slice of wood on the headstock of MC models? (I'm not sure if the word "headstock" is correct or not. By the word I mean the part of the guitar where machineheads are installed.) I asked a similar question before (regarding 2700 & 2710), but got no reply so far....
