2618/12 With Binding Problems....

Does anyone else have a similar problem with a 2618 made 1978 or early 1979? Any comments would be appreciated. It seems that-under certain circunstances, the binding will shrink and pull away from the body in the areas of a "inside" curve. Apparently excessive heat has a detrimental effect on the binding material-this is not limited to these models or years I have seen PF's, Professionals, Artists and others with this problem.....   Snowjays Username: Snowjays Registered: 09-2004 Posted on Thursday, February 09, 2006 - 8:49 pm:    Thanks Fellas, I kinda think that the heat/humidity fits the bill with the 2618 for sale down under. Adelaide can get some pretty extreme weather conditions. I thought that perhaps there may have been an issue with glue or laquer around that peroid.
