Here's a strange one: 1983 w/ trem. Changed pups. The tri-sound & eq switches & eq light seem odd, although it's hard to make out the picture. The headstock doesn't seem to have the alternating wood grains. Something's going on w/ the binding too. He calls it a Steve Miller model. It has a separate battery compartment. I'm guessing is was an AR-500, however, I'm not convinced.

Michael,

I'm sure this one is based on AR550. Unlike other various ARs, AR550 was mainly for Japanese market. This model doesn't have tri-sound, but duo-sound. (Both pickups are controlled by one switch at one time.)

Very sad. $800.00? I'd say it's only good for a "parts" guitar. Can you get $500.00 worth of parts out it? Questionable. Sad.

Is there a lesson to learn here? Repeat after me: If you want to retain resale value, don't cut into your Ibanez!

I agree. Especially if this is based on an AR-550 which we don't see come up to often. Is it just my eyes or is the trem plate off center on the back of the guitar? Not that it matters...

I still thing Micheal should look into "upgrading" his 2622 to a '79 AR 500 ;O). Just an opinion though...

Thats an aftermarket floyd look at the top its way off.
The pups are dimarzio x2ns super hot.
800 is way to high for this guitar
