Anyone have any idea what model Iceman this is?
I rescued it many years ago and wondered what model and approximate age.
It is not in very good shape, back of the neck has been refinished, tuners are unoriginal and the tip of the bout of the front is damaged.
If you have a second , take a look at the pics and let me know what you can figure out.
thanks

It looks to me like an IC100, what year is it? The serial No. should be on the neck bolt plate.

Here's the page from the '78 Catalogue from Ibanez Rules, I think that one is the middle (black) one.

I hate to say it, but I think it may be a copy. the neck plate looks wrong, as does the control layout and body shape. Just a suspicion, but I'm thinking a copy, of which there were several back in the day. Z

It is very possible, the only 2 differences I can see are the dot markers and the "nib" of the lower horn isn't as defined as the Ibanez. The Truss Rod Cover seems to be a little too wide for the neck, but the control layout looks fine to me.

Iceman copies that I know about were made by Hondo and Mirage.

If I had to guess I'd say it was a knock-off.

The Ibanez logo is not painted on the headstock, and the truss rod cover could easily have been replaced. The headstock and the body look slightly off to me.

I could be wrong, and I am certainly no expert, but I've seen a few knock-offs at local pawn shops over the years, and that looks like one of them. A nicer one, though.
