I never understood the point of a bass and a six on a twin.

Well, Ibanezfreak, I could imagine (but I admit: it costs a lot of effort) that the bassplayer of a band and the guitarplayer start a song with some kind of melodic twin-solo piece (accompanied bij heavy keyboards) and than later in the song switches to the bass.

By the way, Petruz, I have seen these twins pretty often and as a matter of fact I own two myself; I have both this cherry version as well as the ivory white one (which has gold coloured hardware). The bass-section is not to good (in fact: pretty lousy because of the short scale and old fashioned because of the pickup configuration), but the guitar section ain't so bad. Overall the instrument is pretty hard to handle an inconvenient. I think it should be seen more like a gimmick.

Kind greetz,
Harry

Now for a little custom idea. take the bass strings off and put the G on top and add 3 bass strings from a heavy gauge 6 string set and tune to an open chord at a low pitch, strum the bass neck and let it sustain the open strings and play some nice fills on the 6 string neck.

No, there is only one output. There is a 3-way switch to choose which section you want to use.
So you'll have to use a split box to be able to send the signal either to a guitar amp or a bass amp.
