What's the deal with the pickups? In the first picture they have exposed pole pieces, but in the other two they do not. The grain also seems to be inconsistent between the first picture and the second two. Am I missing something or is this a little fishy?

Yeah, I was just looking at that. It's definatly two different guitars. Different background, different pups (one's the latter version).
And the price.......

I would be very wary of this one....I sold the 2700 with the closeup picture (not to this seller) last year with a flight case, and the pups were a replacement (no pole pcs)I recognise the guitar because of the small holes where standard PUP surrounds were at one time installed.....
