Hello everybody,

I'm looking for the specs of a 78 custom agent. I believe the body is mahagony with a carved maple top but what about all the rest? Thanks for your input,

Lieven

Lvdvonel:

First of all, you have to make sure that you are talking about the more common model 2405, Custom Agent, rather the very rare and "fancier" model 2675. If you are not sure, do a Seaarch on the model numbers and you'll find photos of both.

Let's assume you are referring to the 2405. It's not a "carved" top. It is "pressed" into a shape that appears to be carved. It's hollow under the highest parts of the top. (I believe it's a laminate material with a veneer of birch on the top.)

I'll let the other members fill in the rest of the specs. The CA I had was a '75 (preserial number) and it had Super 70, embossed pick ups.

it's the 2405 model I am interested in. From a catalogue shot, it should be a "carved birch top" but there is no explanation on the body wood.
