AS200 vs. 2454... help! not long left

Really happy i found this website, it's been a real help with hunting down info on some Ibanez's ive been chasing down. My first question to the community at large is this: I'm torn between two guitars, the AS200 (going for $1250 AUD, made in '83) and a 2454 (going for $1895 AUD - way overpriced, id make the guy a much lower offer.) Ive played the 2454 and the neck is BEAUTIFUL, and was wondering, does the AS200 feel much different to it? Is it just as easy to access the upper frets? (I recently played a AS193 reissue and while the lower 12 felt fine anything above was a bit of a hand-mangler.)
