My first Ibanez was a Les Paul custom. Scored for $325 AUD from Cash Converters.

Then, my next Ibanez was a Artist 2618 - I had the back refinished that brought the price to around $1000 AUD.

Now, Artists have become somewhat of an addiction. I just got my new 2619 in the mail... it had super 70's and the knobs and tri-sounds have been replaced, but otherwise all original. Hardware (around bridge) is quite tarnished unfortunately.

On my way I have a Ibanez Les Paul Recording - $360 AUD. Bargain! :-)

Here's a pic of my geets lined up - not mentioned is my Yamaha SuperFlighter SF500 (Another cashies score), and a borrowed "Torch" bass.

Hi,

I know the TRC on you LP says Custom but it is a standard copy (Ibanez model 2351) check the trapezium fretmarkers and the single ply binding around the top and no binding on the back of the body.

I like the dark finish on your 2618.

Wow... I always thought the TRC looked slightly newer. I always thought the split diamond headstock meant custom.

Oh well... still, great guitar!

Hi Fomp,

I know you're a bit wound up about the pitting on the 2619, but if it is any consolation the hardware on my PF300 was much worse. Green to be exact.

I have local contacts for refurbishment and replating of the hardware. It will restore very easily.
