What are you talking about? I'm confused - Aren't you SUPPOSED to use a hammer to knock the volume and tone knobs through the back of the guitar to get them out?

(And, now, a moment of silence for a once beautiful - and well made - guitar...)

Seriously, though, I hate to see guitars abused like that. It really makes you wonder what the owner at the time was thinking.

Wasn't this an ill-fated attempt by Ibanez to make an Ovation Adamas style guitar...?

Actually, it appears to have been Cold-Water preserved at the bottom of the Hudson Bay. In that context, I'd say the core wood is still in tact!

In all seriousness, that must have been one sweaty dude playin' that axe!!

Thanks for the link Michael..Might be repairable, but takes quite a lot of work..Hope they have not messed up the places for the dowels on the both sides of the neck..Otherwise it might be difficult to get any kinda glued-in neck there.
Hmm..lets have a lookie on this one..

Could this be a mc300ds...Looks like the original jack was ripped out so they decided to move it up and below the lower tone control, then ripped it out again and moved it to just above the original jack hole where it stayed until the guitar was taken apart. Looks like an extra hole was added between the tone controls for some reason.
