Hello All,

I'm looking for a "George Benson" truss rod cover plate for my '79 model. Please contact me if you have one for sale or know where I can get one (preferably in excellent/mint condition).

Does anyone know if the new production covers fit the older Bensons? If so, is it possible to purchase these?

Hi Harold,

I've been in touch with Koichi at Ishibashi Musical Instruments in Japan. They sell the GB10 truss rod cover new for 1,000 Yen (~$9.32 US) plus shipping and import duty. I have no idea how much shipping and duty/taxes will be or even how to find out.

Forget about import duty. Just get Koichi to put it in an envelope with a reciept and send it airmail to you. Customs won't even look at it.
