Lotsa hype for a low-end production guitar, eh?

I like the paint job but prefer the purple version.

"neck is stright:"
Man, I've been looking for one of those stright necks, (or did he mean 'strict').

Seriously, Hunter: This is one of those "Nash Ramblers." If you find that 1 guy whose been looking for one, great (and I sincerely hope you do), BUT...... facts are, as "rare" as it may be, it was the BOAT ANCHOR of the legendary Destroyer lineage. The bolt on neck, crap tremolo, and (sorry) but the absolute worst pickups ever put on a Destroyer (or any other Ibanez) make it only collectable or desirable to a middle aged guy whose digging out his spandex, and starting an 80's tribute band called "Aquanet Rox."

The coveted Destroyers are: #1: the faux Korina 70's Explorer copies, #2: The set neck, sunbust, flame top DT400 & DT500 (believe me, I COVET ONE OF THESE), and #3: the GENUINE, REAL, TOP OF THE LINE DT555 Phil Collen (not Phil Collens, NOT bolt on neck, Strat trem, dot fingerboard P.O.S. DT150's).
Best luck in your auction, and I hope you find your buyer. No offense intended, but we sometimes get our chuckles a little on the sarcastic & sadistic side.

Peace & Cheers!

Hey Dave,

Your entitled to your opinion, but you might wanna back it off a notch. I happen to LIKE the Powerocker and REALLY LIKE the V5 pickups. My DT250 is essentially the same guitar with a different body shape. I find it VERY enjoyable.

You come across as real snob.

Point taken, Bear.

That's why they make things other than Strats & Les Pauls, I guess. To each his own.

Didn't mean to offend anyone or their taste. I worked at a dealership when they started marketing those DT250's. We got a red one in. After owning the '84 DT500CS, it was just a real disapointment to me. I'm still disapointed because they quit making those beautiful set neck destroyers, and haven't re-issued one close to them.

See, that's where most would think I'm a weirdo. Put a USA Strat, Tele, or L.P. in front of me, and set an '84 M.I.J. DT500 next to them, I'll grab the Destroyer & run.

So, touche' friend. I'll take my medecine,

Peace, DHC

On the ither hand, I've seen a few of the guitars that Dave has made himself and they are INCREDIBLE! I say that because from seeing the guitars he's built, I would say he knows a bit about guitars. More than a bit, they are exceptional guitars. Some things go beyond "opinion." Such as... whether I am alive or dead (and even incapable of even having an opinion), Justin Timberlake sux monkey gonads. That's a fact Jack. So you see, there's always reality too. In my opinion a chair is red, in your opinion it is green but in reality the chair is blue. Reality exists... beyond opinion. If Justin Timberlake was the only human alive in the universe... he would still eat my shorts and that is beyond opinion there because he's the only one alive...and so that fact lives in the realm of reality , as opposed to opinion.

Bob,

I just cracked up when I read that!

It reminded me of a saying we used to have as kids. When someone said someting was 'a fact', we used to say,

'That's not a fact! A fact is a little creature that lives on the bottom of the ocean and goes around gathering crab farts. Now tht's a fact!'

Your comment is going to keep me laughing ALL day. Classic!

Destroyers seem to have been surging for the past 6 months or so.

So, now's the time to sell off all those 76/77 Korina Destroyers just cluttering up your closet....
