I am looking for a 335 type ibanez to play early blues stuff like Freddy King, someone recommended to get maybe a small headstock as80 from korea, Can someone give me an idea what I will have to pay and maybe make some other suggestions, I was told the newer china made guitars were not as well built as the earlier ones? any info will be greatly appreciated my budget is around $400.00 please respond, Scott

Narrow headstock AS80 guitars have Mickey Mouse ears and may have been made by Samick (S-serial #) and for a very short period by Cort (C-serial #).
The ones by Samick have non-waxpotted Super 50 pickups.
The ones by Cort have waxpotted Super 58 pickups.

The wide headstock models are all made by Cort and will ALWAYS have the better pickups (Super 58).

The horns are sharper than the Mickey Mouse ears, but they are very good blues guitars.
