The 80s AS200 show more fret wear etc (not a quality issue, just age), and instead of spending money on a fret dress or refret job, some decide to cash and buy something new. I think that most younger AS200 guitars are still too good. You'll have to wait until the maintenance problems occur. Basically they're keepers.
