Never saw a black Ibanez Precision from Ibanez other than the fretless (Silver Series) one, and the 2566BK, which is a "Challenger" series one. No catalogue or pricelists ever showed or mentioned it.
Are you sure the colour is the original one, no refinish?
Is the logo on the headstock under the lacquer?
Strange: no trussrodd cover, but adjustment at the body´s end of the neck, but....I´ve seen that before. My Ibby Precision Bass also has that (it´s a Silver Series).
Question: there is a little hole between the tone pot and the output jack, if I judge the picture well. Has there ever been a mini switch? Are the pickups original?
