Sad to see it go but I'm selling my Artist Model 2635.
Very hard to find and the best one I've ever seen. Super clean with virtually no fret wear. Just set up and sounds amazing. I've even got a pair of Flying Fingers to go with it if you don't want the Gibson PAF's that are on it now.
My loss is your gain

You have mail (at least I tried to send you a message - not sure if it got past your spam filter). If not, email me.

Hello Mark, I'm e-mailing from Spain. Have you considered shipping to Europe ? If so, how much do you think it would cost to Spain? Would you use USPS, FEDEX, or UPS ?
Thanks Germán

Hi German,
No objection to shipping overseas but, as I'm sure you know, it won't be cheap. I'll look into rates and post back for those interested.

German and others,
Nix that last post and contact me by email instead of here with your details - IE: City, Address, Postal Code, etc.... Turns out this international shipping for large and valuable items requires a lot more detail than I anticipated and I don't want to misquote rates for anyone here.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Pls send me all the pics you have.
Do you have the original pickguard and case?
thanks,

More info and pics on the way Andreas.

No pickguard - just an image after it had corroded to document the general shape and binding pattern.

pickguard
I wish I had pulled it off and traced it when I first got it - it was actually still in one piece but began outgasing soon after and I didn't even know what was going on, just put two and two together when I saw 'moisture' (more like oil) and corrosion starting. If I knew better we'd all have a tracing like was done with recent discussion on the 2630.

Case is a hard shell replacement from the 80's or 90's.

That's one of the worst cases of gas I've seen on a Ibanez

Makes me wonder how many Ibanez guitars are still out there sitting in a case with the plate corroding and the owner doesn't have a clue what's going on under his bed.

Wild huh?
This is what it looked like after sitting in a drawer (a metal drawer unfortunately - you should see the inside of that!) - for around 7 years after I pulled it off the guitar.

It shrunk - binding and all - to about 3/4 of it's original size and the surface is like aligator skin. So brittle when I took the photos that it broke apart like stale bread.

It would be great to be able to send an APB to anyone with an old Ibanez to check it out before it's too late.
These are metal eaters!
