Hi all,

I'm looking for:
- gibraltar I tailpiece and ornament,
- PU switch cap
- pickguard/PG holder
for a 2630.

Please contact me at marierrita@libero.it
Thanks,
Mario

PS: if only I had discovered this forum a while ago...

Mario:

You should be able to get a used Gibraltar tailpiece from someone around here. Once in a while, NOS ones show up. But you gotta keep your eyes and ears open, as they are sought after by lots of us.:-)

An original switch cap is probably going to be tough to find. Best to just buy a new switch cap or hunt around for used switches at a local shop or guitar show.

An original pickguard for the 2630 is going to be real tough to find. With a little research you could find which models shared that shape and that would expand your possibilities of finding a replacement.

I would think that most anything from a 335 style guitar would fit. Maybe one from the current JSM100? Beyond that, you'd have to have one made. Here's the URL of a place that claims to make replacements for Ibanez, but I have no idea which one of the many they list, would fit a 2630.

Thanks, Johns!
I found a bridge, so the most important piece I've got.
As for the rest, wish me good luck.
Best,
Mario

PS: I was thinking about cannibalizing an old artist but I am not mean enough...
