Well, I've finally decided to part with my '82 AM205. I bought this brand new in December of 1982, but always seemed to be in a band where this wasn't quite the right guitar. The guitar is in excellent condition, a minor chip on the top of the headstock, visible in one of the photos, but that's it. This has all of the original gold hardware, the pearl inlay, and all of the electronics work.

I'm really torn about selling, but I've got one too many guitars.

$1400.00

Had to crunch a couple of the pics down. Looks like they are all there now.

Do you mean Dec. of 83'? The guitar was made Sept. of 82'.

Nonuniform, very nice AM205! You should have no problem selling that beauty.

(If she were a pony in my stable, she'd never leave!)

No, I meant December of 82. That's when I got it. Not sure what you mean.

I've kept it around for so long, but really I barely play it. At this point it's sentimental really, as this guitar and my Leica are the only things I've ever really kept.

I'm also thinking about selling my DeArmond Starfire III. But, that's for another forum!

Nonuniform, very nice indeed. It seems that the third string's tuning machine, or at least the knob, has been exchanged. It that correct?

Dave.

Yes, I forgot, I did have to replace a tuning machine ages ago, probably sometime around 90-91. I lost the original unfortunately.

Well, yes, the photos would have been better if the guitar were cleaner.
<sigh>
We're in the process of moving to Seattle from San Francisco, and I decided seconds before leaving to drive back to Seattle that I was going to sell the Ibanez. I find it's better to make split second decisions...not.

So, I took a bunch of very rushed photos. The guitar is back at our house in SF, ready to be shipped by remaining family there.

And there you have it. Strats and Jazzmaster made the trip in a very packed car, along with a few random amps, and the Ibanez stayed home.

Yeah, it was up there for just a few hours. Of course, I haven't actually received payment yet, but I've had good experiences buying and selling on eBay.

I love my am255 and the 205 was just too nice to pass up.
Anybody got a scruggs for sale out there?

Dave:

Yes, but it has a dot neck that has not been seen before.
