I have one, it would take a considerable sum to get me to let go of it so... if you want to make an offer... go right ahead.

If you don't rip Bobzilla's from his cold not-yet-dead hands, you also might look at the ones currently for sale on Gbase. One '78 is going for $1,750, but the other, a '79 is not disclosed. Click on this link and scroll down:

There is a thread on that 2640 on gbase if you do a search...I had it in hand, and it is a dog, including the butchery of the neck with very poor quality in lay mod. 2 pups are wrong, switched out toggles and some nice chunks out of it, and more. It would be a decent player for around a grand or less. But the torture done on the neck is irreversible. 1750 for it is a joke. The guys at that shop have an amazing collection of vintage 50's-70's Strats, gibsons, acoustics, etc. that will blow your mind for sure. The owner is a collector who has a day job as... a doctor! Really nice guys, but they haven't a clue on the 2640.

That Chicago Music Exchange AR 1200 is bogus. I won the auction for that one on ebay, but the reserve was not met. I called him. He wants $3999, which is way to much for me.

They been averaging $2200 +/- on ebay. So, $3999.00 is outrageous. Give it a a year. :-)
