FS: Musician series 8 string bass

I bought it new in Japan in 1981. Problems: active preamp died after 2 years, needs chip or replacement. Circular plate on back of one machine head fell out, needs replacement. Gouge in wood on headstock (cosmetic) from onstage collision with a trumpet! Paint on backplate worn from belt buckle (needs powdercoating). Original hardcase w. keys. With a bit of attention this instrument could be put back into great shape, and I'd like to see someone playing it again. I'm in the US: any sensible offer considered.
