You must look at the 197x prices. So with a recent deal closed on €951.=/ $1219.= you could say, they're going up! But if you're considering a trade, perhaps our webmaster Johns is interested. I read he'd like to have a 2355M (natural flamed maple), but I don't know what he thinks about a sunburst. Acoustically there might be some difference, because of the spruce top. But then again, this one has the open book headstock... I don't know if Johns likes trading instead of buying, what I know is that he was worried that buying one would become more and more difficult. Perhaps you can make each other happy! Well, they are thinner than the neck on my Aria Pro II L-1000 (almost the same as PE-180). It's a matter of taste. If you'd be used to strat and tele necks you'd probably find it ideal. Technically you shouldn't expect too much trouble. Only if you start using heavier gauge strings, the thruss rodd should be professionally adjusted. If you use d'Addario Chromes .011 or .012 there won't be any troubles. .013 I never tried on any guitar. I don't want to end up with a banana neck. I mostly use .012 on dreadnaught (phosphor bronze) and hollowbody jazzguitars (Chromes). If I have doubts I try .011 On thinner necks it's nice to have some extra space between the strings. What's perhaps something to worry about is the quality of the original tuners. They're not exactly high end. But keep them original... and in shape... oil them now and then.
