Hey guys, just putting out the feelers; I've always been a bit partial towards Explorers, just wondering if anyone would have an Ibanez one that they would be interested in trading for a 2387DX (setneck cherry '67 Flying V)? I'm not all that sure if I want to do it, but would only be interested in a straight swap with someone who lives close enough to not have to post (I'm in Sydney Australia).

My Flying V is in real player condition, scratches in the paint, plenty of buckle rash, stars worn of the tuners etc, but no damage in anyway detrimental to playing, so I don't expect a mint Explorer in return, just one that plays well. The V was black when I got it, but has been returned to it's original cherry which was preserved underneath, see this thread: http://www.ibanezcollectors.com/discus/messages/5751/7929.html
There is still black paint under the pickguard, the bridge and tailpiece are replacements (I still have the originals, but the bridge is missing its original saddles, screws and springs), and the truss rod cover was missing (I have since replaced it with a home made repro, with a gold screenprinted script logo). It has recently been refretted by Gilet guitars, about six months ago (for those in Sydney I'm sure you are aware of his reputation). Original exposed coil Super 70s, which I wax potted and they now go to quite loud volumes without squealing.

As I said, I'm not 100% sure if I really want to trade it (for fear of regretting it later), but I do like Explorers. I'm only assuming that Vs and Explorers are of equalish value, hopefully I'm not perceived to be trying to rip anyone off.
