If anyone is interested in an ST50 in decent condition but not mint, drop me a line, as money is tight and i probably have to let this one go soon. Sunburst colour.

Condition is pretty good, i will try get some photos sorted. In brief, fretboard and neck are excellent, front of body is excellent, but the sides and back contain several nicks and scratches.

Anyway, drop me a line or make me a sensible offer if you're interested.
Thanks,
Sibly

Probably no replies due to no pricing details.
Can anyone help me suggest a decent asking price for this (in euros if possible), given the condition i describe? I'm not looking to cash in heaps, i would like it to go for a FBN (fair but nice) price. Will probably put it on ebay soon for auction with a reasonable BIN.

I just took a look at your website, but there were no guitars. But I noticed you called "She" an Elvis Costello cover. Well, his version was actually a Charles Aznavour cover.

Did you keep the original V2's in it, or did you change the pickups? What's you opinion about the V2's?

Do you know there are 3 different body constructions for this guitar?
The possible choices were:
- maple centre block with mahogany side sections and walnut accent lamination;
- maple centre block with ash side sections and walnut accent lamination;
- all mahogany body.

FYI: I recently bought the all mahogany body and the former owner found it necessary to replace the pickups by something that looks like Dimarzio's.
For the rest the guitar is near mint and original.

It might help if you would give some more details.
Oh yeah, here's the catalogue:

Hi Ginger,
Thanks for your reply. Yeah, i knew full well that She was Charles Asznavour, but i covered the Costello version ;)

I'm not overly experienced with electric guitars and pickups (singer-songwriter acoustic guitarist mainly), which is why i have to let this one go... i wanted a vintage ibanez for years, but i don't get to play it. Thanks for the link, another one i'm familiar with...great site is the Meinl one. I am putting some pictures together over the weekend.

Better late than never, here are some pics of my 1979 ST50 to try and demonstrate the condition. The headstock, neck, tuners and fingerboard are in fine condition:

headstockfront
headstockback
neck

...the body front is in pretty good condition. The back is too, aside from one non-deep scratch (as ever looks far worse on this photo)

guitarback

The minor side is the edges, which show several heavy nicks and chips. This is the most natural photo i was able to take to show these...

And i will pad it very well and ship it in this rather neat case...

Electrics work great as far as i can tell. The only thing that shows wear and tear is the body sides.... the rest is in fantastic condition. Your chance to get a great player or restore-to-mint project at a bargain price!!!! :-)
