Before going to ebay I am offering my Ibanez 2455 NT.
The guitar is near mint and a absolute eye catcher.
It is from the begin seventies (1974 or 1975), pre serialnumber period. The guitar has got the Gibson (open book) headstock. This is one of the finest jazz guitars Ibanez ever made. No wonder that Gibson sued Ibanez to stop producing these fine Instruments.
On request I will send you the link of my Yahoo photoalbum where you will see over 30 pictures of this beauty. Ask me anything you want to know about this guitar. A non original case is included. Askingprice is 1775 euro.
My email adress is cebucity@kpnplanet.nl

Until Andrease posts a photo of his, here's a a link to photo of my '77 2455NT (different headstock, obviously):

I posted a comment about the guitar here on Dec 9, 2003. If you search for "2455nt", you'll find it.

Andrease is correct in his evaluation of his guitar -- it's an incredible instrument. I sure love mine.

Best,

Michael

Andrease,

Wow, looks almost identical to mine, 'cept for the headstock. I note yours has open back tuners. Were those original for that year?

Best,

Michael

Michael,

Open back tuners? You mean the covers are missing?
It has got the original star tuners, no open back.
I will post a picture of the back of the headstock.

Andreas.

This is one of the features showing this is yet a level higher than the 2355 and 2355m.
Compare Gibson ES-175D and L-4CES.

That's why I think, Maarten didn't buy too much for the brandless Greco/Burny. He was a bit worried because the logo is missing, but there's no need for that. Now he can see with his own eyes that his guitar was made by Fuji Gen. IMO he made a very good deal.

Andrease,

Whoops, sorry about the error, they sure looked like open back tuners on that first photo. :-)

Best,

Michael

Hi Gemberbier
You're right. I made a VERY good deal. I love this guitar and can't wait to have it set up properly so the string buzzing stays absent. The (rosewood?) bridge has a large crack in it, which I think is the cause for this problem. I'm getting it fixed by a luthier recommended by my teacher tomorrow. Although 1700 seems a bit high, I would gladly pay 1500 euros for another one if mine would get lost or stolen....
Regards
Maarten

I think it's ebony. If the crack is in the saddle, buy a new bridge and change the saddle.
P-102-E €15.-
because I think they don't have MOP inlays in the base.
