I posted this before but then went on vacation. I hven't seen any responses though. I have a black F360BK Ibanez acoustic 6-string which sounds and plays great (Also a 1979 Roadster bass and 1980 Roadster electric). However I haven't seen any other references to this instrument in any catalogue sites. Anyone know of it or its roots?

I bought it new in a music store north of Toronto circa 1980 or so (don't remember exactly when) and have had it ever since.

The F stands for Floral[series],and replaced the Gibson copies like the Dove and Hummingbird.Look at your pickguard. The F 360 was made from 1978 to
1983.

Hi,

I've got an F360Bk too. It's an excellent guitar and sounds very superior to my Yamaha FG300SB. I picked it up used about a year ago. I love the abolone-oid bindings, headstock inlay and split bock markers - real deluxe. The sound seems to feedback on itself creating a bloom to the note, especially in the high registers. The best strings for this guitar I've found are Martin SP's.

Cheers,

Mark.
