So, tell me folks... How in the world does a guitar neck fretboard get so grooved and fret-worn? I mean, are we talking just outrageous amounts of playing, or mistreatment? I just don't get it. Look at the pix of the fretboard of this project V200. OMG!

Yikes! I am thinking someone has been playing it non-stop for several years!

I just sold a 1937-ish archtop with holes deeper than that in the fretboard, and at the first fret for the B and high E strings, and second fret for the A and D strings. I can't even begin to figure out what the guy was doing with the guitar except maybe playing the heck out of C, G, and F chords.

Huh, somebody has had strong fingers. I have seen frets worn like that but not fretboard. I remember that somebody warned that cheap strings "eat" frets and fretboard long long time ago.
