NICE!!!

Looks like a D-45 copy... plus vines.

It went quick, too!

I tried to get my wife to let me buy it, but she wasn't receptive. :-) If it had a slightly lower BIN, I'm pretty sure I could have convinced her.

The seller has another TAMA up for auction. BIN of $750.

Both are really beautiful. I know $900.- is a lot of money, but man, what a guitar!
I still remember testing a MIJ Sigma SD-35 (solid rosewood) for ƒ1600.-
The best intonated dreadnought I ever had in my hands. I didn't decide quick enough and then it was gone.
After that I've been looking for a good solid top Sigma for years.
Now I own a Korean Sigma SDR-41, which is nice, cheaper but not as super as a solid rosewood of course. But I had it upgraded with a bone bridge and nut.

Pity you couldn't convince her, it's a beautiful piece of art.

Yeah Ginger, those MIJ Sigma SD-35s were great guitars!

I was working in a music store at the time (mid-late 70s) & got to play them side-by-side with the real Martin D-35s... damned close. Amazing for $350, at the time. Of course, I couldn't afford one then, because... I was working in a music store!

Any idea what factory made those early MIJ Sigmas?

My brother has one he bought brand new way back that he never touches. He tried to learn to play but couldn't get it down. Here is a pic I found of the SD35.
