I just got a new guitar from a firned and he was told that it was played on tv and radio in the 1960s and 70s so its old and it has the sea scroll sticker inside saying made in nagoya japan so i was wondering is this a copy i have been told it looks like a gibson humming bird but is it a real ibanez or just a knock off

Hitchysan - so this should probably be posted under the acoustics section of the board.

Ibanez did make some Hummingbird copy guitars, I believe they were called 'Concord'. 6 and 12 string versions. I believe they also produced guitars under the Jamboree name.

There's no way to authenticate that i was played on TV or radio. So the BS meter peaks on that. Pictures would be helpful.
