Just sold my AW200 and wish I never had. IT was sweet. Does anyone know if they used scalloped bracing on them? I replaced it with a Larrivee L-03RE for a recording project as feedback seem to eat the 200. Any advise on amps for the Ibanez if I get another AW200. I'm selling the Larrivee, and going back to Ibanez. Watch for a cheep Larrivee on ebay. I'm using a fender acoustisonic now. How about a Fishman? thanks Mike

Rat this one has the Fishman Prefix Plus with feedback notch filter. I have this in 2 of my acoustics, My Ibanez AJ200ECEAV and Tacoma Chief. Nomatter what I plug into it can be tapered to cut the feedback out. It sounds great in both guitars.

The Fishman electronics like above is what is on my Larrivee. The Ibanez played and sounded just as good as the Larrivee. The Larrivee just tuned tighter if you know what I mean. You can feel the Larrivee fall in tune. Sounds crazy but if you have perfect or good relative pitch you'll know what I mean. You hear the beets then when they get apart, it falls in tune. Damdest thing I have ever heard and I've been playing 43 years. Larrivee is way overpriced and Ibanez is way under priced and under rated. Should have played the Larrivee before getting rid of my AW. Going back dude. THanks Mike

Rat,
Check out an Ibanez 'EP9 Steve Vai', before you buy an AW. Mine has that same feeling you're getting from the Larrivee. The on board Fishman Aura system is AMAZING!!! It models mic setups! (Aura's also available on the AEF100EACV but it's more heavily laquered & looses some of that "feel" you describe.)

Ratfinks3~ If you are asking for amp recommendations, try as many of them as you can at a music store.

There's nothing wrong with your Acoustasonic, but I like the SWR Strawberry Blonde since it can also handle low volume bass guitar at practice sessions. I've heard good things about the Fishman acoustic amp too.

Good hunting.

Hi Mike,

I have a Trace Accoustic TA50, which is good and compact, but they are asking collectors prices for those now. They're very popular among Sinti gipsy guitarists, like the Rosenberg family, who had a close relationship with Django Reinhardt.
Amazing nobody bid on this one:

If you are looking for a good compact tilt back accoustic, try the Ibanez Troubadour TA35:

Oh, I totally forgot. Good, compact but more expensive: AER are very nice amps.
http://www.bananas.com/productdetail.asp/pid_959/productname_AER-Compact-60

or even smaller
http://www.bananas.com/productdetail.asp/pid_948/productname_AER-Alpha-40

And a little test:

But before you start spending lots of dollars: try the Ibanez Troubadour TA35.
They go for €219.- bottom price in Holland (same price as the Soundwave 65 bass amps, list price for both €299.-).

Check out the Genz Benz Shanendoah line. I have the 60 watt stereo version and it sounds great with my Tacoma Jumbo.
